Why your solicitor has asked you to use Verify Client
Your solicitor needs to run a short online process. This page explains what to expect and why it matters.
Why is this required?
Conveyancing firms are legally required to verify your identity and understand where your funds are coming from before they can act for you. This is part of anti-money laundering regulations that apply to all property transactions in the UK.
Is this safe?
Yes. Verify Client uses secure, encrypted connections. Your information is only shared with your solicitor's firm and is used solely for the purpose of your conveyancing matter. The link you received is unique to you and requires a verification code.
